Shabazz the Disciple is a Brooklyn, NY emcee best known as one of the darker, more esoteric voices orbiting the extended Wu-Tang universe in the 1990s. Rather than emphasizing street realism alone, his style blended vivid horror imagery, apocalyptic themes, and dense spiritual symbolism. His delivery often carried a raw, intense energy that set him apart from many of his contemporaries.
Shabazz became a cult figure whose uncompromising lyricism helped define the underground edge of the Wu-Tang diaspora. The classic track "Crime Saga" sparked Big Pun's flow and the influence of Shabazz can still be heard in underground hip-hop artists who combine spiritual themes, grim storytelling, and intricate lyricism.
HHE is now proud to bring you the Missing Scrollz chapter, which compiles all the best Shabazz solo material (primarily recorded in the 90s) that wasn't already on the first volume. This compilation is the true accompanying piece to the first volume and will further showcase the lyrical prowess of one of hip-hop's unsung heroes. Production by Carlos “C12” Bess, Freestyle (Arsonists), Irfane, Dropsect and more!
The vinyl will be limited to only 400 copies in 3 different versions and will come in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with hype sticker. The glass mastered jewel case CD edition will be limited to only 100 copies and will come with an 8-page booklet.
As a further bonus, the release will feature a track-by-track breakdown by Shabazz himself providing some in-depth info for the fans. All tracks have been completely mastered with separate masters for both vinyl and CD.
