Has-Lo - F*ck Has Day: HighSign Edition CD

Puff Down is thrilled to be releasing, for the first time on any physical format, Philadelphia MC and producer Anwar HighSign’s 2007 EP, F*ck Has Day.

Anwar HighSign (formerly known as Has-Lo) is a Philadelphia MC and producer. His first release was the 2007 F*ck Has Day EP. In 2011, he released the underground classics In Case I Don’t Make It and Conversation B on Mello Music Group followed by Live Like You’re Dead with North Carolina MC and producer Castle. Since then, he’s released a stream of solo records including A Singular Point of Light, Pen & Pixels (A Freestyle Series), Live N*gga Prophesy and Whatever the Case May Be with UK producer Giallo Point. In 2024, he released Resin under the name The Fortunate Ones with Massachusetts producer Dr. Quandary.

In 2010, F*ck Has Day received a digital re-release, including instrumentals of all of the tracks and updated artwork. Significant in HighSign’s discography, F*ck Has Day marked the first time he handled all of the production on one of his releases. And, in its booming bass lines, drum loops, cutting, laidback delivery and reflective themes, we can hear the foundations of not only In Case I Don’t Make It, but many of his later releases. Keeping it short and simple, in 2010 HighSign wrote: ‘Enjoy this defining point for my art, the start of my journey toward who I am now musically.’

Puff Down’s F*ck Has Day: HighSign Edition is modelled after the 2010 re-release, and features all of the EP tracks and instrumentals, alongside updated artwork and design by original designer Kyle MT.
