Cris Prolific is a French Hip-Hop Legend / Producer behind timeless classics for Lunatic, ARSENIK, DÜNE, KERY JAMES, ROCCA, X-MEN, DISIZ, ALI OXMO PUCCINO, PIT BACARDI, among many others. Architect of French rap's golden era with a proven track record of creating chart-topping hits and culturally significant music.
The 15th Anniversary celebration of "ART/Money" that was originally released back in 2010 on CD only. The album's journey began back in 2004 when Cris dropped his first single on Versatile Records that featured TA'RAACH. House Shoes was bumping the single heavily in Detroit, and TA'RAACH further connected the dots leading to more Detroit artist features. In 2005 J Dilla performed his last show in Paris, and Cris and Dilla both instantly connected over their shared vision. Plans were made but the collaboration sadly never happened due to Dilla's untimely passing. 🕊
The list of contributing artists on the album is simply stellar to say the least. We have Kev Brown, Roddy Rod, Black Milk, Wildchild, Ta'Raach, K-Banger, Illa J, Large Professor, Medaphoar, Cappadonna, Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson, Baatin, Mr. Complex, Pharoahe Monch and Seun Kuti all making contributions!
Now 15 years later we are proud to announce the first vinyl pressing of the album. The entire album has been remixed and remastered, the artwork has been revamped with full credits on the inside of the gatefold along with pictures from some of the recording sessions. Cover was painted by the incredible Tim Okamura.
