U.N.L.V. – Mac Melph Calio CD

The third album from the 3rd ward trio, UNLV. This album is named for 3 of the projects the 3rd ward of New Orleans is known for: The Magnolia ("Mac"), the Melpomene ("Melph", where Tec-9 is from), and the Calliope ("Calio") projects.

This album features several diss tracks against other local artists including Mystikal and Partners-N-Crime from their rival label, Big Boy Records, as well as DJ Jubilee from Take Fo Records. This album also introduced BG, who at the time went by 'Lil Doogie' or 'Gangsta Dee' and was part of a group called 'The BGz' with a rapper named 'Baby D' (now known as 'Lil Wayne').

This special edition reissue also includes two songs previously only available on cassette: "Scrap Up" and a remix of "Mac, Melph, Calio".
